The library in the centre of Fittja, a suburb south of Stockholm, needed thorough renovation within a very strict budget. We wanted to create order and calmness to the space, so we used color as a means to divide the space into sections. The midnight-dark blue wraps around the room, and all the furniture and bookshelves on the floor were given a glowing orange color to create unity.
